Digital Pocket Refractometer 300052
This lightweight, compact pocket refractometer is ideal for determining Brix concentrations in fruits and beverages as well as cutting oils and organic samples. It measures concentration of brix in the field with laboratory accuracy. The digital handheld pocket refractometer is small, light and simple to use as optical refractometers, but with the precision of a digital readout. Reads samples as small as 1 mL. Sample temperature is initially displayed on the LCD followed by the measurement results.
Easy to read LCD that eliminates the possibility of interpretation errors. The sophisticated microprocessor provides automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation (ATC) and automatic shutoff (after 3 minutes). A sturdy water resistant case protects the electronics from wet environments and makes for easy clean ups. Features on button calibration to distilled water and indicate when the battery should be replaced (8000 readings).
Brix refractometers, which are also called sugar refractometers, are commonly used in the food and beverage, agriculture and wine industries. Fruit farmers will use a refractometer to check the sugar content of fruit on the vine to determine the best time for harvesting. Handheld sugar - brix refractometer is an ideal measurement instrument for the food and beverage industry.
Comes ready to use with distilled water, transfer-pipet, "AAA" battery, instructions and a carrying case.
