The RHS series of portable refractometers is designed to measure the
salinity of sea water and saline solutions of similar concentration.
This unit is ideal for the packaging of brine fluids used for food
preservation in jarred or canned foods. You can also measure pickling
fluids for food preparation. The 0-28% salinity range covers the
spectrum in which salt (NaCl) will stay soluble in water. Beyond 28%,
the salt will fall out of solubility. The RHS-28ATC is made of sturdy machined aluminum with durable plastic eyepiece and knurled finger grip and comes in a blue plastic, foam-lined hard case with calibration screwdriver, pipette and operation manual. No batteries necessary; this unit needs only sunlight or indoor lighting for accurate readings. |
